Intro

This portfolio website was created to aid in consolidating some of the projects I have been working on as well as aid in navigating my repositories and to help demonstrate some of the skills/knowledge I have aquired throughout the course of my PhD and work experience, which you can check out in the projects tab.

Most of my work will be on github and cover a variety of topics including, machine learning, R, Java, and python programming, statistical analysis, data visualization, some SQL and numerous other projects I have worked on or found interesting. Additional work such as my microfluidics design or other Solidworks examples I have can be obtained upon request. I'm constantly practicing my skillset and working to develope new and exciting projects as well as modify existing ones so please check back often for updates!

About

PhD in Bioinformatics and Genomics with over 10 years of research and managerial experience and life long learner. Undergraduate degree in Biology, with a second degree in Computer Science. Inventor of microfluidic device which has optimized traditional Mutation Accumulation studies. Extensive knowledge involving full scale experimental design and execution from cell culturing in lab, to whole genome sequence analysis. Instructor for multiple classes at the Graduate and Undergratuate level including, Machine learning for Bioinformatics, Intro to programming for Bioinformatics, and Statistics for Bioinformatics.

I enjoy working with others in the pursuit of knowledge, and always take every opportunity I can to learn as much as possible. Each new experience is an opportunity to grow and learn more about the unknown, and each struggle provides us with the chance to become better. My goal is to always be involved with others who share my passion for learning and help work to advance our skills and knowledge base together.
